The Windows Phone 7 rollout is around the corner, or even, depending on your point of view, already underway. And Microsoft’s provided a bit of a roadmap for anyone who’s curious about how the process will continue from here.
Today marks one important moment. On the Windows Phone Developer Blog, Todd Brix wrote, “All registered developers have been contacted and invited to request early submission to the Marketplace certification process.”
Then the next important date is Wednesday the 6th, which is the “[d]eadline for registered developers to respond to the invitation to participate in early submission. Of those that request access, an initial group of a couple of thousand developers will be accepted on a first come, first served basis to receive guidance and early access to the new application submission and certification process.”
Next, on the 11th, participating developers will receive instructions on how to submit apps, and from the 12th forward, Microsoft will process submissions in the order they’re received.
Good luck making it through the process smoothly if you choose to create an app for Windows Phone 7.
