Ok, so we all know that Ryan Reynolds is going to play Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) in the upcoming movie. The next question we want to know is how is he going to look as the Green Lantern. Enjoy this tutorial to see what he might look like
Step 1 – For turning Ryan Reynolds into Hal Jordan, first you’ll need to find yourself a good picture of Ryan Reyonlds. I used this one from the X-Men Origins movie, and should be a good start into turning Reynolds into the ‘Greatest of the Green Lanterns’
Then crop the image into the size you’re going to be working with. Today we’re just going to work on the top portion of Reynolds.
Step 2 – For this tutorial we’re going to work from the top to bottom. So the first thing we’re going to do is change Reynold’s hair style. Grab yourself a picture of Hal Jordan, I’m using this one for the realistic properties.
Now, use the polygon lasso tool to trace around the hair and drop it into your main picture. Using the transform tool, you’ll want to scale the hair down and distort it until it fits perfectly.
Step 3 – Now we’re going to be moving onto the mask. Again, grab your polygon lasso tool, and trace a mask around Reynolds eyes and down to the tip of his nose. Fill it with a green that you think matches Green Lantern. To make the picture seem more natural, attach these properties to it.
Step 4 – Ok, now we’re onto the body. This party is really easy, just like the mask trace around the parts of the body you want made green. Then, again attach these properties to it.
then you’ll have this
Step 5 – Since Hal Jordan’s arms don’t show on his costume, let’s cover his bare arms with a black color.
Step 6 – The final step involves finishing up the GL logo. First, find yourself a GL logo, they’re easy to find. Drag it to your main picture, and then transform it to fit within the picture itself. Add this blending option to make the logo fit to the costume.
Now, you’re performed a bit of magic. Turning Ryan Reynolds into Green Lantern.
