Looks like someone forgot a very important step while preparing Thanksgiving Day dinner…
1.) Open your source images.
2.) We’ll begin by selecting the turkey head, to do this select your pen tool (P)… begin to click and essentially trace the outline of the turkey head with the neck. After you have closed your selection, simply right click within your selection and choose “Make Selection…” Click and hold within your selection and drag over to your other image.
3.) With the turkey head layer selected, hit “CTRL+T” to rotate and resize the head accordingly.
4.) You’ll notice that the lower part of the neck is cutoff… we’ll need to fix this. With your pen tool selected, draw out what the shape of the “thing” should be. Once you’re done, right click within and make your selection (like you did above). Now choose your Clone Stamp Tool (S)… CTRL+Click on an area of the “thing” and begin to fill out the missing piece.
5.) Choose your eraser tool (E) and choose a large soft round brush and begin to gently blend out the feathers into the cooked turkey. You can also go to Image > Adjustments and mess around with the color, balance, brightness and contrast.
6.) Final product… now all you need is some gravy and maybe some medical attention.
