Sony’s ‘Dash’ Hopes To Provide A More Personal Internet

During CES 2010, Sony introduced a new internet viewer – Dash. The product is being described by Sony as being a ‘Personal Internet Viewer’. The device will be displayed with a 7-inch touch screen, allowing for portability.

Sony is banking heavily on apps, as Dash will provide access of over 1,000 free applications. The standard news, weather, and calendar programs will be available. However, Sony is opening up Dash’s source platform to third party developers.

The Dash Internet Viewer will release sometime in April, with a $199 price tag.
