SnapLogic has announced it is launching its first-ever SnapStore Developer Challenge, a contest for developers creating “Snaps,” the connectors, pipelines, and data transformations available in the company’s SnapStore online marketplace.
Each qualified entrant will receive an Amazon Kindle. And the developer of the best Snap will receive a $5,000 cash prize and a one-hour meeting with venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.
Developers can create Snaps using the DataFlow API (“SnAPI”) and offer them for sale in the SnapStore. Developers and other participants receive 70% of the proceeds from the sale of Snaps.
To be eligible for the contest, a developer must submit a Snap with one or more components that adds a read or write capability between an application API and SnapLogic 2.1 or SnapLogic 2.2. The submission must include example pipelines and demonstrate the use of components, as well as documentation for the installation and use of the Snap.
The deadline for submitting eligible Snaps to the SnapStore in March 9. The winner will be announced on the SnapLogic website on March 16.
