Today I will be showing you how to create a simple signature.
First things first find a good images of the subject you want to use. I chose Scarlett because she is breathe taking. Once you have your subject cut them from their original background.
Then Open a new document set the width to 500 and the height to 200. Make a new layer and fill it with black. Then go to your blending Options and select Gradient Overlay. And use the visual below to make the gradient from scratch or download it here.
Make a new layer and set your foreground to Black and background to white. Then go to Filter > Render > Clouds and hit OK. Hit CTRL+F 4 – 6 time to get a good diverse shading. Finally set the fill to 70%.
Make a new layer and set your foreground to a Light Teal and background to a Dark Blue. Then go to Filter > Render > Difference Clouds and hit OK. Hit CTRL+F 8 times to get a good Range of colors. Finally set the Blend to color Dodge.
Now Move your subject into the signature and scale it down to fit.
Once again copy your subject into your signature only this time scale it down so the head fits in the signature. Then use your erase tool with an opacity of 20% blend the image so there are not harsh out lines. Set the Blend to Linear Burn.
Next Make a new layer and find a good star field image brush. I recommend Deviantart since there are some really good artist on the site that offer free downloads. We will use this set in the signature. Make a new layer and fill it with black. Then use the brush set to fill the layer with white stars. When you are satisfied with the look. Set the layer blend to Hard Light and the Fill to 20%.
Now create a new layer this time select Starfield5 form the freshly added brushes. Click one to add one set of stars. Next go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur set the radius to 2.2 – 3.0 and hit OK. Finally set the layer fill to 30%
Using the screenshot below make two angled selection with your pen tool. Make a new layer and fill the selection with black.
Next go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur set the radius to 20.0 – 25.0 and hit OK. Finally set the layer fill to 30%
Make a new layer. Grab your Rectangular Marquee Tool and draw a selection about 3 x 3. Fill The selection with white. Then Duplicate the layer CTRL+J and move the square up so there is a 2 pixel gab between each. Repeat this step 4 more times. Then select the first two you made and move them to the right and again leave a 2 pixel between the first column and the second. Finally Select all the square layer and merge them CTRL+E.
Then Duplicate the layer and go to Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal. Now move it to the left side of the signature.
Next grab your text tool and select “Busorama Md BT” as your font and 27pt as the font size and type out “Scarlett Johansson”. Then place her name between the techie boxes. And Your Done. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
For added substance you can add a quote from the actor or whatever your subject is like below. Again if you have your own version you created from this tutorial add it to the comments and I will post it here so everyone can see.
