Qualcomm Hosting New Developer Conference

Qualcomm said today it will host Uplinq, a new conference for mobile developers interested in creating applications and distributing them to mobile devices.

Uplinq 2010 is being held June 30-July 1 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.

Uplinq is aimed at wireless developers working on mobile operating systems and application platforms, including Android, Flash, Java and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Series, as well as Qualcomm’s own Brew MP operating system.

“The Uplinq 2010 Conference will be a must-attend educational and networking forum,” said Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, chairman and CEO, Qualcomm.

“It will provide opportunities for deep technical learning and for cultivating new complementary business relationships that will accelerate advances in mobility and the delivery of compelling applications and services to consumers. At Uplinq 2010, both start-up and established companies will enjoy and benefit from the one-of-a-kind opportunity to see and hear what’s new and what’s in the pipeline of the rapidly evolving world of wireless.”
