It’s time for developers who are interested in Qualcomm’s Augmented Reality SDK and could use $125,000 to kick their app-making skills into high gear. The submission period of the 2010 Augmented Reality Developer Challenge is now open.
Participants can create just about anything they like, from a game to an educational app to a business tool of some sort. Qualcomm’s only stipulation is that the thing utilize the Qualcomm AR SDK, which is quite reasonable.
Then the most immediate deadline to watch for is January 7th, which is when the submission window will close.
Otherwise, it should be enough for the average developer to know that the grand prize is $125,000, and there are also prizes of $50,000 and $25,000 for whatever individuals (or teams) nab second and third place.
Good luck if you decide to participate. Here’s hoping you enjoy yourself, too, considering that augmented reality is an interesting and promising subject.
