PayPal Launches Mobile Payments For Developers

PayPal has introduced a beta version of its Mobile Payments Library for developers.

The PayPal Blog offers more details. “Basically, the Mobile Payments Library is a quick and easy way to add checkout functionality for physical goods and services sold through the iPhone (other platforms are coming soon).  And the best part is, developers don’t have to worry about collecting and storing debit or credit card information. PayPal takes care of that for you.”

PayPal said it is opening up its Mobile Payments Library to U.S. developers first. The company will open it up to developers outside the U.S. soon.

Developers who are interested in signing up for the limited iPhone beta program can get more details at PayPal’s developer portal.
