Keeping the goodness coming, it’s time for a gamer sig. Get ready to rock it with my girl, Nina Williams, from Tekken 6.
Start off with the basic 3D render of the blond bombshell with a white background. You can use any pic but this will be easy to delete. This pic of her is especially righteous though.
Use the Magic Wand Tool and select the white area outside of her. The pic I used is actually a really high resolution one so the magic wand will select the finer details. Press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert the selection. Now instead of the white being selected now Nina is inside the selection. Ctrl+C to Copy and then go into the following picture.
This is the background that we’re going to use. Press Ctrl+V to paste Nina into the scene.
Ctrl+T to transform Nina. Hold down SHIFT while scaling her into the background to constrain the proportions. Here’s what she looks like.
Right click her layer and “Duplicate”. Now we have 2 copies of Nina. Double click the bottom one to open the following Layer Styles window. We’re going to add a white glow with these options.
Here’s what she looks like with the glow.
In the copy above the glow layer you’ll see blending modes in the Layers Panel. The default is set to normal. Set it to “Overlay”.
Now we’re going to use this awesome picture of sparks to add to the background.
What’s cool about using images with black backgrounds is that you can use the “Screen” blending mode instead of the Overlay we just used and the blacks will become transparent. I also scaled and rotated to taste.
Added some typography and she’s ready to kick some ass!
