Microsoft Updates Bing Maps Dev Exam

Microsoft has updated its exam for application development against the Bing Maps Platform, as part of “Microsoft Learning.”

“For those of you who are new to Microsoft Learn, it’s all about getting certifications,” says Chris Pendleton on a Bing blog. “Certifications lead to qualifications. Qualifications lead to being added to respective lists. Being added to respective lists means you’re up for getting business referrals from Microsoft; and, that means revenue.”

Candidates, Pendleton says, should have experience consuming XML Web Services, binding to Bing Maps data, and using the Bing Maps mapping tools.

Free training is available via the Microsoft Partner Network Site. Starting in May, the Bing Maps App Development Exam will fulfill one of two exam requirements for the Business Intelligence Competency.
