Make a Sleek Web 2.0 Style Menu for Your Site

It is time to make the signature Web 2.0 shiny look.

Next just duplicate your main layer and remove all blend settings except add a color overlay of white:

Move that layer above all the others:

Now I am going to cut off the part I don’t want to make the shiny effect. For this I am going to use the pin tool:

With your pin tool chosen click at this spot on your screen and hold down shift
and drag your mouse down until you have this:

Then click here as your next position without dragging your mouse at all:

Next click here and pull down with your mouse until you have this. The line will
actually go pretty far off your canvas:

Then just click around the shape so to connect the pen mark:

Connect the pen and it will make a shape. Right click on the line you just made, still using the pen tool and hit make selection:

Once you do that just hit delete on your keyboard and it should leave something like this:
