You may recall that last year at Google’s Developer Conference (Google I/O), they gave away free phones. Now, according to Garett Rogers at ZDnet, Google is giving phones away before the show. This time, they’re giving away Nexus ones.
“I’m sure there are either 1) a lot of happy developers right now because they got a free phone, or 2) a lot of pissed off developers because they already shelled out $500 when the phone was first launched,” says Rogers.
The conference takes place May 19 – 20 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. It will feature 80 sessions, more than 3,000 developers, and over 100 demonstrations from developers showcasing their technologies.
Registration for the event is closed, so if you’re thinking about registering to get a free phone, forget it.
