Google Feed API Includes Metadata in Response

Google announced today that the Google Feed API now includes metadata in the response. The content is now included in the JSON and XML results returned by the API.

“More and more sites are adding support for MediaRSS to include images, videos and other types of multimedia files,” says Google’s Adam Feldman.

Complete MediaRSS content is generally only available in feed entries newer than February 1, 2010, he notes.

Feldman reminds developers that they can learn more about the Feed API at Office Hours at the Google Developer Conference in May – Google I/O. Office Hours is where you can get help from product experts in what Google calls an “intimate and informal setting.”
