FLO TV Sponsors Developer Challenge

FLO TV, which deals in live mobile TV, would appreciate it if developers would create some good apps for its service.  FLO TV’s prepared to go beyond saying “please” and “thank you,” too, launching a FLO Developer Challenge with $25,000 in prizes at stake.

The rules and restrictions aren’t at all bad: concept submissions are just due by July 30th, meaning there’s no huge rush, and the apps are supposed to be either Brew- or Android-based, which should fall within many developers’ comfort zones.

As for the more fun parts of the competition, the finalists will be notified on August 13th, the finalists’ submissions will be due on October 1st, and on August 15th, the winners will be announced.

The top winner is then supposed to get $20,000, and the two runners-up will get $2,500 each.

Nice, eh?  Especially since this contest isn’t likely to draw many participants compared to something organized by a bigger company.  So enter if you’re able, and enjoy the money if you win.
