Facebook has made several additions to its apps insights allowing the developers to closely track unique users. Previously Insights showed the developers a number of details like the number of stories published from their apps through the different channels, and their associated click through rates. And now they can now their unique users too. Facebook has already implemented these changes on the developers’ insights dashboards. As Facebook is quoted, “This additional level of detail helps you better understand the level of engagement of your users, enabling you to make informed decisions to further improve open graph integration. The new dashboard supports monitoring unique user information across a 30-day window as shown below. Furthermore, if your date range is restricted to a single day, the funnel at the top of the Open Graph overview dashboard now includes unique user information.”
With these additions, App developers can now track the number of:
- Unique users seeing their apps’ authorization dialog.
- Individuals accepting their apps’ authorization dialog.
- Users publishing stories from their apps via open graph.
- Unique users viewing and clicking on stories published from their apps via open graph.
Developers will now be able to see in a chart the number of times people accessed their authorization dialog, and the total number of acceptances.
Developers will see a breakdown of the impressions, accepts, and CTR if their authorization dialog prompts users for different permission sets. With the new insights, developers can identify the most optimal permission set for their authorization dialog.
