I am going to show you how to create a custom menu, using a carbon fiber pattern that I will show you how to make in Photoshop.

First I am going to start off with a 300X400px canvas. I am going to leave my background white for now.

Next get your rounded rectangle tool

In a new layer create a rectangle in the middle of your screen leaving a pretty even amount of white around the shape and use 20px as your radius.

Use these blending options:

Outer Glow

Inner Glow

Bevel and Emboss

Contour

My result so far:

Make another new layer above that one and create another rounded rectangle with the same radius as the previous one, using the color white just so you can gauge the rectangle

Now add these blending options to that:

Inner Glow

Bevel and Emboss

Color Overlay

My result from that;
