Now that we have our rectangle go to your Blending options menu and enter these settings:

Now you should have something like this:

Then go take your layer and duplicate it. So now you should have to button layers. Then go to blending options and enter these settings:

Also be sure to take the Bevel and Emboss off if it is still on!

Now you should have something like this:

Now take the layer we duplicated before (the layer with just the bevel and emboss settings) and duplicate it again. Make sure this new duplicate is on top. No go to the blending options and apply these settings:

Now again make sure you have the Bevel and Emboss settings off. Now you should have something like this:

Designing a Rollover
In this part I am going to teach you how to create an effect fro a rollover that will be ready to code. If you do not want to learn this then just skip these steps.

To start out hide all of your text layers, then duplicate your text layers, and unhide the four duplicates. Then go to the duplicates opacity and set all of their opacities on 50%. Now duplicate the text layers that are still hidden. Hide the text layers that are on 50% opacity now. Now go to your blending options and insert these settings:

Now make this a new style and apply it to every one of the duplicated non 50% text layers. Now after you code this template you can make it so when you roll over the nav bar it make the other buttons opacity go down and the one your on glow!

Congratulations! You learned how to create a cool and trendy navigation bar.
