Benefits of Working with Microsoft Partners

Whatever your Microsoft service need is, working with a company that has achieved Microsoft Gold, or Silver, competency status will ensure you the best service. These Microsoft Partners have numerous benefits that enable them to provide the best quality and support.

So what is a Microsoft Partner? Companies that provide Microsoft-related services can become Microsoft Partners and then achieve Silver or Gold competency ratings. The core benefits of just being a partner include 24-7 technical support, sales tools, licensing assistance, and much more. There are then two top tier levels of companies, Silver and Gold, with rigorous qualifications, but great benefits.

Silver and Gold members are allowed preliminary and free access to all of Microsoft’s software for internal use. This ensures that Microsoft Partners are keeping up with the latest software technology. They are given priority spots on Microsoft’s online marketplaces and Silver and Gold branding. Perhaps most importantly, they are given limited advisory support, up to 20 hours for Silver and 50 hours for Gold, to meet on-demand needs of any kind.

Such benefits are not given to just anyone. To become a Silver member, the company must:

– Employ or contract at least two MCPs, or submit a product that passes a silver competency test
– Employ or contract with someone who has passed a Microsoft Licensing overview assessment
– Employ or contract with someone who has passed an online sales and marketing competency assessment
– Provide three unique customer refrences per competency
– Complete a full profile and pay annual fee of $1,850

Gold member status is similar, but distinctly advanced:

– Employ or contract at least four unique MCPs, or submit a product that passes a gold competency test
Make a minimum revenue commitment
– Employ or contract with someone who has passed a Microsoft Licensing overview assessment
– Employ or contract with someone who has passed an online sales and marketing competency assessment
– Provide five unique customer refrences per competency and participate in the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Index
– Complete a full profile and pay annual fee of $3,800

As you can see, choosing products or services offered by Microsoft Partners with Gold, or even Silver, competency qualifications means much more than just fancy branding. These companies have the best from Microsoft at their side. They are well established in their area of expertise and can off your company the best performance and advanced support.
