With advancements in technology, comes new ways to engage in music. Beamz, a product shown off at CES 2010, introduces new ways to play and learn music.
The Beamz product uses light beams, with a total of six beams which can be ‘broken’. Once a beam is broken by hand or object, then music is played. The music can be instruments, chords, sound effects, or 100+ other options. The Beamz software also makes sure anything being played is on key.
Beamz works as an educational tool, introducing users to music playing. The device is built for people as young as 5, and entertains the older crowd.
The device is compatible with PC and Mac, and connects through USB.
