Apple Asks For iOS 4 Apps

Nothing’s officially “due” just yet, but Apple has begun to remind developers that it’s in nobody’s best interest if their iOS 4 apps are late.  Some developers are receiving emails that ask them to submit their apps today.

The exact text of the message reads, “Submit your iOS 4 apps for review so that they can be ready for sale when iOS 4 is available to iPhone and iPod touch users.  Make sure you have built and tested your applications using iOS 4 and iPhone SDK 4 GM Seed, which you can download from the iPhone Dev Center.”

Then here’s another piece of advice: even if you don’t have everything ready to go right now, try not to wait until the last minute, since Apple’s infamous delays could keep your app from being available right when tons of iPhone 4 users are spending hours per day playing with their shiny new toys.

Keep in mind, too, that other Apple apps may face a slow approval process as the company deals with this issue.
