Mobile application management company Apperian has announced it has closed a $9.5 million round of venture financing, with investments from North Bridge Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers’ (KPCB) iFund, CommonAngels and LaunchCapital.
Apperian’s Ease cloud platform allows businesses to create, launch, and mange applications for Apple iOS-powered devices, and in the future Android.
Apperian helps developers speed up app creation and the Ease platform allows IT to deploy and manage mobile apps, while maintaining security and control. Ease runs in the cloud, allowing companies to focus on the development of business-focused applications.
The Apperian SDK and app templates enable developers to create and deploy commonly used enterprise apps in hours. Enterprise developers can use Ease at no charge to deploy their custom apps on up to one hundred devices.
“Enterprise developers need to get in front of the huge demand for rich mobile apps that will allow users to take full advantage of device capabilities to make enterprise data smarter,” said David Patrick, Apperian CEO.
“By partnering with three of the top venture firms in the industry, we will be able to invest in growing our developer community and accelerate the release of our app templates and libraries .”
