Adobe CS5 Ships Today

Apple is finally releasing the 3G version of its iPad today, and is even closing its stores for an hour to prepare for the rush, but that’s not the only significant release of the day. Adobe, who has been at odds with Apple of late over Flash, of course, has started shipping Creative Suite 5.

Adobe’s description:

Discover breakthrough interactive design tools that enable you to create, deliver, and optimize beautiful, high-impact digital experiences across media and devices. Create once and deliver that same experience virtually everywhere, thanks to the highly anticipated releases of the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR 2 runtimes. Maximize the impact of what you’ve created through integration of signature Omniture technologies.

“By all measures, the global launch has been a success for us, and we couldn’t be happier with all the rave reviews the CS5 products have received,” the company says. You can watch the CS5 Global Launch Event here.

If you order CS5 online, you can get free shipping until May 31.
